Great for Travelling - I m really pleased with my NC10. I can t compare it with other netbooks, but I bought it because it tended to be the top-rated netbook in magazine reviews. The good bits: It s light and small, thus easy to transport. It s fine for taking notes and emailing and it looks great. The keyboard feels full-size and is easy to use. Best of all is the battery life: 7-8 hours!Bad bits: Nothing significant. All I can think of is that the right-hand shift key is a little too far to the right for touch-typists - a minor inconvenience. You ll want to invest in a proper padded case (about £15) for it as the one supplied is too thin to provide sufficient protection if dropped. Its size and weight makes it perfect for travelling with, though it is just a netbook - I wouldn t want it as my main machine as I m more comfortable with a 15 screen for longer periods. I d recommend it.

Superb netbook - I bought the Samsung NC10 as a gift for my girlfriend who travels extensively. She absolutely loves this little jewel. It is blue and looks quite nice, which is of course important when being watched by your friends. IT does everything one could ask for in a netbook, and the battery life is outstanding. I installed Microsoft Office and have no problems with performance. Normally the netbook is put into hibernate mode when closing the cover, and this allows for quite a rapid start up without depleting the battery when not in use (about 10 seconds from switching on). The wifi capability is quite good and has a good range. We tested this in a few airports and it performs quite well. Using MS Office is quite responsive although I would not think of using it for any graphics applications. I also purchased the Logitech 470 Bluetooth mouse, which was very easy to connect to the NC10 and works very well. Having an inbuilt camera, wifi, and Bluetooth capability makes this pc very desirable and easy to set up. It comes with Microsoft Windows XP installed and is quite responsive. Be aware though that when first connecting to the internet you will be deluged with many Microsoft updates. However, this is a Microsoft issue and not a problem with the NC10. All Microsoft operating systems installations these days seem to take forever with all the online updates to be installed, especially with MS Office installed. It is easy to spend a day or two sorting this out, but in the end, you have a stable and secure machine. Microsoft recommends setting up the security so that all updates are automatically downloaded and installed. I highly recommend that this be disabled and that you opt only to receive notifications about updates and can then choose when to install them. The reason for this is that in the middle of an airport when you have a short time to get or send emails etc., an update can automatically start which is not necessarily obvious, and hinder your internet connection.A few hints. As the screen is small, when setting up text applications like outlook express etc., it may be useful to increase the default font size for easier reading. Other reviewers have complained about the touchpad, but it is not really a problem. When using a mouse it is best to turn the touchpad off to avoid inadvertently hitting it with your thumbs when typing and wondering why the pointer moved!Perhaps Samsung can improve on this model by adding touch screen capability in their next models.(After a few problems, hats off to Amazon who did everything possible to get it delivered on time for Christmas)

Great little machine!! - This a a fabulous bit of kit. I ve got an asus EEE which is sitting in a corner gathering dust - I just didn t get on with it, nasty cramped keyboard, rubbish battery life, poor build quality etc.The NC10 has a very usable keyboard and a battery life of 7 plus hours which is just the ticket! As others have mentioned, this is not a dazzling performer when it comes to speed, but for surfing and normal office applications it s just fine.I bought mine so that I could take it along with me into meetings - my other lsptop is a 7kg HP Dragon, so the NC10 is a welcome relief for my shoulders & back. The build quality and finish is very good and it looks as though it costs way more than £300.

Fabulous pice of kit - Got one for Christmas (after very big hints) so still early days. But first impressions are great - and second even better. Some may complain it isn t as powerful as some gee whizz expensive laptop - but to me it is fine, and indeed faster than work and home desktopns which are Dell s from about 3 years ago!Get one - and it has to be blue or white ! Black is sooooo dull

Love it - I love the NC10. Its small and compact making it easy for me to carry with me everywhere, whether its work or for just lying in bed. Its great for doing the basic things like surfing the web, checking e-mails and listening to music. the battery life is fantastic on it, i paniced in work for forgeting to bring the power supply but it lasted the whole day! The colour is nice too. However, you can t confuse it with a laptop, it can sometimes be a bit slow, i miss not having a CD rom and i the mouse pad can be a bit tiring sometimes. All in all it is a fantasic netbook...just so long as you remember that it is a netbook and not a laptop.
