Surprised! - I did get an official Apple Ipod cable and it does exactly what it says on the tin. So no complaints!I had heard that it might not be an official product which didn t concern me too much as long as it did the job, but i got sent the actual thing so that was pretty cool.

NOT FOR SHUFFLE - Only works on my 120gb ipod player will not fit the shuffle, but it works well and is made by Apple
How complicated does a cable need to be? - It does what it says on the tin essentially, a USB cable for your ipod. I ve not checked what make it is but would the fact that it isn t apple make a difference to its performance - NO! Its great value, it charges, it loads music and that s what its meant to do how anyone can give it a bad review because of the label i don t know!
Doesn t work well with iphone 3G - As several people have stated, this isn t the official apple cable at all. I bought 3 of these as the price looked good, but while the iphone will connect and charge it generally fails to sync using any of the three.
